Neal is currently pursuing his Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree at the University of Missouri. In 2014, Neal graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he received the Aaron Shearer Scholarship for guitar and took a Bachelor of Music. In 2016 Neal’s interest in library services began when he took a part time job as a Library Attendant with the Kansas City Public Library. In 2019 Neal transitioned to a career in library services when becoming a Library Assistant at Bernard Becker Medical Library, at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. During his time there he curated Washington University School of Medicine’s Digital Commons Open Access repository.  He edited, organized, and assisted in the building of the library’s Archives and Rare Books finding aids, processed Interlibrary Loan lending and borrowing requests, and assisted in projects related to medical librarianship for Becker’s team of librarians. Currently, Neal works as the Research Services Reproduction Manager at Duke University's Rubenstein Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
